Chris Dyke

Chris is a lecturer in social work at Goldsmiths, University of London. He has been an independent social worker since 2015 and has advised Ofsted, the DfE, local authorities and others on social work practice. Before that, he worked with vulnerable young people in statutory and voluntary settings.

In addition to chronologies, writing and analysis, and court skills, his teaching and research interests include autism, anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory practice, communication skills, transactional analysis, differentiating societal and individual factors in welfare cases and the effectiveness of professional interventions in social work and criminal justice.

He is the author of Writing Analytical Assessments in Social Work (Critical Publishing, 2016).
