James Houghton

James Houghton is the director of Future Voices, an organisation providing training, service development and consultancy for organisations working with children and families impacted by extra-familial harm and exploitation (www.futurevoices.co.uk).

James has held operational and strategic roles across youth justice, child protection and policing, and is currently national safeguarding operational lead for British Transport Police’s county lines task force.

James continues to contribute to research to drive practice and learning, and has contributed to events that bring together leading voices in their field.
