Martin Calder has worked in the field of child protection and child welfare for over 30 years: as a social worker, child protection coordinator, safeguarding manager and manager of domestic violence services.
Martin has also worked as a lecturer on the Child Care Award at the University of Salford and he is now an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queens University Belfast. He is also the External examiner for the Post Graduate Certificate - Strategic Leadership and Collaboration in Safeguarding at the University of Salford.
Martin runs training service Calder Training and Consultancy, and delivers training to social care and multi-disciplinary audiences spanning the statutory and the voluntary sector.
