Hertfordshire CC Children’s

Introduction

I am Jo Fisher, Executive Director of Children’s Services. I am delighted to welcome you to Community Care Inform Children. I hope that you will find this resource beneficial to you in your everyday role and to support your continuous professional development.

Hertfordshire County Councils Children’s Services are committed to supporting you to make a difference to children and young people and their families. We want our children and young people to be safe, healthy and to aspire to be the best they can be!

The way we are taught and learn has changed quite dramatically over the last 10 years which has been greatly influenced by the development of learning technology and a global pandemic. Just in Time Learning is our current stop in the evolution of learning which means that people need the opportunity to learn anytime, anywhere, and right at the point the skills and knowledge are needed. We fully believe in the term ‘How Help’, which means how can this help you? With individual learning, team activities, quizzes, tools, practice guidance and detailed research, there are a number of resources available to you to progress your learning. Children’s Services Learning and Development, along with Community Care Inform, are working hard to present you with resources and opportunities to take your learning to the next level. Whether you are at home, in the office or travelling, you will have the opportunity to advance your knowledge in your specified area.

I hope this learning resource alongside the others available to you, helps you achieve your personal career ambitions and, in turn, supports better experiences and outcomes for Hertfordshire’s children and families, whenever they need the involvement of our services.

Jo Fisher, Executive Director of Children’s Services
